Ο Παναγιώτης Γάκης σπούδασε φιλολογία σε προπτυχιακό επίπεδο στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Διαθέτει μεταπτυχιακή εξειδίκευση στην παιδαγωγική αξιοποίηση των υπολογιστικών και δικτυακών τεχνολογιών στη Δευτεροβάθμια Εκπαίδευση από το ΕΚΠΑ. Είναι κάτοχος διδακτορικού διπλώματος στην Υπολογιστική Γλωσσολογία από το Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών με τίτλο: «Σχεδιασμός, κατασκευή και αξιολόγηση του ελληνικού γραμματικού διορθωτή». Είναι υποψήφιος μεταδιδάκτορας του Τμήματος Φιλολογίας, στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πελοποννήσου με τίτλο: «Ανάπτυξη υποδομής για ρομπότ συζήτησης (chatbot) με στόχο τη διδασκαλία γλωσσικών μαθημάτων με παιγνιώδη τρόπο». Έχει δημοσιεύσει σε συνεργασία με τον Χρήστο Παναγιωτακόπουλο, Χρήστο Τσαλίδη και Θεόδωρο Κόκκινο το ακαδημαϊκό σύγγραμμα «Υπολογιστική Γλωσσολογία. Από τον προγραμματισμό μέχρι τη διδακτική πράξη». Έχει συμμετάσχει σε έργα με αντικείμενο την επεξεργασία φυσικής γλώσσας και την ανάκληση κειμενικής πληροφορίας και ανάπτυξης ηλεκτρονικών λεξικών. Είναι ειδήμων γνωστικού αντικειμένου στα σχολικά εγχειρίδια της Γλώσσας του Γυμνασίου και του Λυκείου.
Short CV

Panagiotis Gakis studied Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He holds a postgraduate specialization in the pedagogical utilization of computational and network technologies in Secondary Education from the same university. He earned a PhD in Computational Linguistics from the University of Patras, with a dissertation titled: "Design, Development, and Evaluation of the Greek Grammar Checker."

He is a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Philology at the University of the Peloponnese, with a research project titled: "Development of Infrastructure for a Conversational Robot (Chatbot) Aimed at Teaching Language Courses through Gamification."

He has co-authored, along with Prof. Christos Panagiotakopoulos, Dr. Christos Tsalidis, and Dr. Theodoros Kokkinos, the academic textbook "Computational Linguistics: From Programming to Teaching Practice."

He has participated in projects focusing on natural language processing, text information retrieval, and the development of electronic dictionaries. He is specialized in Greek Language textbooks used in Junior High School and Senior High School.
