Antonios K. Travlos is a professor of Sports Psychology and Motor Learning at the Department of Sport Management, School of Human Movement and Quality of Life Sciences, University of Peloponnese. He received his PhD from the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada – 1993), his Master of Arts from McGill University (Montreal, Canada – 1988) and his BA from the National Academy of Physical Education (1981) with a Certificate of Equivalence from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1985). During his studies, he was recipient of (a) scholarships from the State Scholarships Foundation in all years of undergraduate studies (graduated 1st) and (b) research and/or teaching assistantships in all years of postgraduate studies. He was, among others, (1) President of the Department of Sport Management, member of the Deanship of the School of Human Movement and Quality of Life Sciences, and member of the Senate of the University of Peloponnese (November 2015 – 2017), (2) Vice President and member of the Temporary General Assembly (TGA) of the Department of Physiotherapy (2019-2020) and member of the TGA of the Department of Speech and Language Therapy, School of Health Sciences, University of Peloponnese (2019-2022), (3) Member of the Assembly of the Special Account of Research Funds (ELKE) of the University of Peloponnese, (4) Director of the Master's Program "Organization/Management of Sports for People with Disabilities" for the Acad. Year 2014-2015 and Deputy Director of the Master's Program "Olympic Studies, Olympic Education, Organization and Management of Olympic Events" (2019 - 2022), and (5) Member of the Coordinating Committees of the Masters’ Programs of the Department of Sport Management. He has taught (i) in Undergraduate Studies Programs at the (a) Hellenic Air Force Academy, (b) the Department of Psychology of Deree College (American College of Greece), and (c) the Departments of Sport Management, Nursing, and Physiotherapy of the University of Peloponnese, and (ii) in National and International Postgraduate Programs of the University of Peloponnese. During his long career, he has been: (1) Reviewer of articles in Scientific Journals (Greek and International), member of Scientific Committees (Editorial Board) of scientific journals, (2) Member of Organizing or/and Scientific Committees of Conferences and Scientific Organizations, and (3) Supervisor of Doctoral Dissertations and Master Theses. In the context of the extroversion of the Department and the University of Peloponnese, he publishes original research papers with other faculty members of Greek and foreign universities (see publications) and has given a series of lectures to schools, teachers (Districts of Arcadia, Laconia, Argolis), parents' and guardians' associations, Cultural Bodies of the Municipality of Sparta, sports clubs, members of the Supply and Transportation Directorate Center – Sparta, Basketball Referee's Association of Greece and Cyprus, sports and cultural clubs, in matters related to his scientific domain.
